GIVEBOX

Proposal of an social installation

at the primary school in Mireval, South of France.

It's an "exchange box", where each passer-by can deposit and / or take an object.

This is the starting principle, but all the interest is its evolution and the appropriation that the people makes of it: this box becomes a social project that would favor the material exchanges and the encounters between neighbor, parents, and inhabitants of the commune in general.

This box takes the form of a cube surmounted by a rooftop in the manner of a bird perch.
It is made up of three lockers of different sizes to accommodate a small library, a toy rack and games, and a last that can hold small clothes or various objects.

The regular passage of the "mirevalais" in this street will allow a natural renewal of the objects, and to have weekly different books or other things proposed.
